However, Olivia Attwood has been less successful in her bid for public support, with many branding her a ‘snake’ for her treatment of Chris Hughes.

And it looks like her popularity may not be set to rise any time soon, as the blonde beauty has now been hit with ‘fix’ claims after it was revealed that she may not have applied for her place on the ITV2 show.

While many of the show’s contestants are forced to complete an application to secure their place in the villa, it is alleged that Olivia may have been exempt, as bosses reportedly approached her in a bid to confirm her involvement.

According her mum, the Monster grid girl was actually meant to appear alongside Olivia Buckland, Kady McDermott and Cara De La Hoyde in the 2016 villa, but denied the opportunity having just come out of a long-term relationship.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the 26 year old’s mum, Jenny, said: “She was asked to appear on Love Island last year.

“But she was only six months after ending a long relationship and she wasn’t in the right frame of mind.

“I think that was the right decision.”

Jenny continued: “I think she wants a showbiz career and I think she’s well suited to it.”

And Olivia isn’t the only Love Island star reported to have been approached by ITV2 bosses, as villa dumpee Jonny Mitchell is also said to have been contacted by producers after they spotted his lavish Instagram account.

Jamie Jewitt and Camilla Thurlow are currently tipped to win the show [ITV]

Steve Ball – a hunky plumber who failed to secure his place on the island during the Casa Amor task – was also apparently approached to appear on the show while enjoying a holiday in Magaluf.

The ‘fix’ scandal surrounding Olivia comes before the show’s glitzy final, which is set to air on Monday 24 July.

Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt are currently the favourites to win, with Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville also in the running.
