Queer Eye renewed for a sure-to-be-fab season 3 by Netflix

Antoni, Tan, Karamo, Bobby and Jonathan are officially back to Making America Fab Again on Queer Eye.

Netflix celebrated the makeover show’s huge success in the Primetime Emmy Award nominations yesterday (July 13) by announcing that a third season is officially in the works.

In a cute teaser shared on Twitter, the Fab Five leave Georgia – where the first and second season were filmed – and head straight for Kansas City, Missouri to help the local populace look a bit more presentable.

As mentioned, the season three renewal was announced just one day after Queer Eye earned four Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including Best Structured Reality Program.

Queer Eye faces some tough competition from perennial contenders Antiques Roadshow, Fixer Upper, Lip Sync Battle, Shark Tank and Who Do You Think You Are? in order to bring home the golden trophy.

Nobody was more excited about Queer Eye‘s Emmy nominations than its grooming expert Jonathan Van Ness, who also got a nod for his Funny or Die web series Gay of Thrones.

The moment I found out about #gayofthrones , we all just had found out about @queereye 4 nominations, all my friends here are so supportive and excited for my success as much as theirs. Gay of Thrones was a baby idea @gibblertron and I had that literally was a pipe dream. This is incredible, so many thanks so much love, here is to all our dreams 💙 I love you so much @bobbyberk @tanfrance @karamobrown @antoni 🎥 @denisecrew

In a heartwarming moment shared on his Instagram account, Queer Eye stars Bobby Berk, Tan France, Antoni Porowski and Karamo Brown could all be seen hugging Jonathan as they celebrated their shared success.

Fans of the show have also had a lot to celebrate recently. Netflix gifted them a bonus episode set in Australia as well as a special crossover where the Fab Five (disastrously) competed on baking show Nailed It!.

The first two seasons of Queer Eye are currently available to watch worldwide on Netflix.
