Susanna Reid shocked Good Morning Britain viewers and Piers Morgan alike by admitting she let her 12-year-old watch Love Island .
But she left her co-host even more astounded when she defended doing so because the Islanders had "pretty good morals".
This comes after last night’s episode involved a slew of sexual innuendo, including one person admitting that they had used a musical instrument as a sex toy.
In the previous four series, viewers also watched nearly all of the Islanders have sex during their time in the villa.
When Piers’ ‘favourite’ subject, Love Island, came about on GMB this morning, he probed Susanna on watching the ITV2 show.
He asked Susanna, who is mum to three boys (13, 14 and 16): "Do you let your kids watch it? Your son?"
"They watch it," she replied firmly.
A shocked Piers responded: "You let them watch it?"
"Yes," she said.
He asked: "What [age is] your youngest?"
She responded that he was 12 and Piers said: "You’re letting him watch that programme with people just basically trying to have sex all the time?"
Susanna exclaimed: "They’re not trying to do that!"
But Piers insisted: "They are!"
"They actually have pretty good morals compared to some of the stuff on television," she defended. "It’s much more moralistic."
Piers put his head in his hands in despair before repeating: "It’s moralistic… Love Island… all that."
Susanna added: "I don’t let him watch it when it gets rude, a little bit later in the series we won’t be watching."
