There’s a recipe for Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s green milk

Although it might not look it, the milk from Ahch-To’s resident Thala-Sirens in Star Wars: The Last Jedi was apparently kind of delicious. Don’t believe it? Nah, us neither.

Well, we didn’t – until we discovered that there’s an actual recipe for the stuff on the official Star Wars website, and it sounds amazing.

And the best of it is, no space alien milking is involved.

The Thala-Siren frozen milkshakes are “a fun way to channel your inner Jedi and find the balance and energy of the force around you, and within you”.

So yeah, we will be trying out this recipe as soon as we get home.

To make the sweet, delicious and alarmingly green Thala-Siren nectar, all you need is white chocolate, silver sanding sugar (whatever that is), whole milk, whipped cream and ice cream.

Oh, and two 2.5 inch-tall Thala-Siren cut-outs. Obviously.

The recipe does call for you to make your own ice cream, complete with green food dye – and we reckon it’s worth the effort. Who needs a January detox anyway, right?

Revealing the secrets behind the mysterious Thala-Siren on Ahch-To, Star Wars creature designer Neal Scanlan recently explained that it was a living, breathing entity.

“It was designed to be able to breathe and there was a milk delivery system, on the inside,” he said.

“The guys on the inside could see what was happening on the outside, through monitors and a walkie system that we had, and Mark [Hamill] literally walked up, bent down, and milked his sea-sow.”

Lovely.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is in cinemas now.
