Arthur Collins acid attack victim blasts Ferne McCann for still visiting him in prison

A VICTIM scarred for life by Arthur Collins in a horror acid attack has blasted Ferne McCann for still visiting the thug in jail.

It was yesterday revealed in court she had been visiting her jailbird ex with baby Sunday – despite vowing he would never see her again.

Now a victim scarred for life by Collins in the horror acid attack has hit out at Ferne – but said she "isn't that surprised".

The student, who doesn't want to be named, told Sun Online: "It really doesn't shock me to be honest.

"Ferne is in the media industry and she has a career to keep up and that can only be done by saying she is finished with that criminal.

"She is just lying – especially with that TV show she was on where she cried and said it was so hard being alone.

"She claimed she had nothing to do him but it was all lies."

The news Ferne was still visiting Collins with their child was revealed in court yesterday as the thug was handed an extra eight months for smuggling a mobile phone into prison to ring her.

It comes after reality star had claimed in media interviews that she had told Collins "this is the last time you will see us" when she visited him at Belmarsh shortly after their daughter's birth in November.

She told The Sunday People at the time: "I went to see Arthur and I took Sunday with me.

"This was because I am very angry about what has happened and I needed to communicate that and wanted to hear what Arthur had to say.

"I thought it was important that Arthur see Sunday and see exactly what his actions have led to him missing out on."

But his barrister Rebecca Randall told Bromley Magistrates' Court: "The only reason Mr Collins had that phone was to contact, privately, his girlfriend and friends and family.

"His girlfriend at the time was heavily pregnant with his first child."

She continued: "That child is now two months old and occasionally visits him with its mother and his sister."

The pair had an on-off relationship for a year before Collins went on the run following the acid attack that left 16 people injured.

She posted pictures on social media app Instagram of them on holiday together in Dubai before the incident.

And viewers watched the Towie star sob in November on Ferne McCann: First Time Mum as she described her life since Collins's arrest as "hell, absolute hell."

The victim said: "There's absolutely no sympathy there for us, the victims. She's always talking about Arthur and how hard it has been for her and we barely get a mention.

"I get that there's a lack of understanding there as she herself isn't a victim but maybe she needs to think carefully about speaking out if she doesn't mean any of it.

"But as I said, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest. It's like how she claims she never knew what Collins was like as a person when she clearly did.

"She's a reality star and makes money from her life – if she never said anything then no one would care about her."

Ferne today released a statement to "set the record straight" claiming she had only been to visit Collins once in jail.

She tweeted: "As I have already made clear I visited him once and I have not been to see him since."

Ferne continued: "Again and for absolute clarity, I do not in anyway condone the actions that took place in Mangle in April 2017.

"Nobody should be faced with violence on a night out and the victims have my fullest sympathy."

Ferne was slammed by acid attack victims in December who accused her of "cashing in on their misery" after she released a TV show about her pregnancy.

The victim was celebrating a birthday when Collins threw the acid across the packed dancefloor at Mangle E8 in East London on April 17.

Collins, who showed no emotion as he was sentenced, was confronted by his tearful victims during the hearing – with one saying "imagine it was your daughter".

Sun Online has contacted Ferne's people for comment.
