A HUNT was underway today for two men who sprayed a "chemical substance" in another man's face after asking for a cigarette.
The victim had reached in his pocket for one when the substance was sprayed on him before the pair of men quickly made their escape.
Luckily the 24-year-old was not injured after the attack in Wimblingdon Drive in Milton Keynes, but he was taken to hospital for treatment before he was quickly discharged.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "The first suspect is a white man aged in his late 20s or early 30s.
“He is about 5ft 11ins tall with a slim build and was wearing a black or grey hooded jumper.
"The second suspect is a white man, aged in his late 20s or early 30s.
“He is about 5ft 11ins tall with a medium build and was wearing a white or grey jumper and dark jogging trousers."
Investigating officer Sergeant James Sims, added: "I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information relating to it.
"This assault could have resulted in a serious injury, and an investigation is underway.
"Members of the public can expect to see extra police patrols in the Redmoor area while our investigation takes place."
