Hawaiians celebrated false missile alert by watching lots of porn

The false warning of a nuclear apocalypse in Hawaii spurred people seeking relief by logging on to their favorite porn site as soon as the all clear was sounded.

The website Pornhub saw a dramatic escalation of traffic from the Aloha State on Saturday morning — directly after it was revealed that an earlier warning of a ballistic missile attack had been sent in error.

Traffic results from the website claim that after the initial ballistic missile alert was issued at 8:07 a.m. the site saw a drop of 77 percent below an average Saturday as the islands’ residents frantically sought shelter and called loved ones.

But the eventual 8:45 a.m. follow-up alert clarifying that the impending missile attack was a false alarm was met with a rapid inflation in Pornhub viewership.

By just 9:01 a.m. Hawaiian traffic shot up to 48 percent above normal Saturday morning.
