The fiancée of an accused heroin dealer who spent his earnings on a $3,000 Versace pram, a $200,000 gold chain and other luxuries is hiding the rest of the drug money, prosecutors claim.
Clarissa Vasquez was hauled into Brooklyn federal court Thursday on charges she had lied to government agents about her family’s money situation since her fiancé Luis Lopez was held without bail in July on drug and gun running charges.
The mom of two told authorities she had only $300 in her bank account — and then deposited $700 into Lopez and her brother’s commissaries, Assistant US Attorney Lindsay Gerdes told Magistrate Judge Vera Scanlon.
Scanlon released Vasquez without bail. She declined to comment as she left court, but one of two women with her threatened a Post photographer before the group fled in a Porsche SUV.
