Women brawl in middle of JD Sports as boyfriends struggle to pull them apart

Two young women viciously yanked at each other’s hair, after one was smacked in the face and kicked, as a fight erupted in the middle of a sport shop.

They were filmed screaming foul language, while the men with them – thought to be their boyfriends – wrestled with the pair in a desperate bid to break them up.

The unnamed youths were spotted tearing into each other at JD Sports in Burnley, Lancashire, on Friday afternoon, leaving fellow customers stunned.

The men tried to prise the women apart after nearly five minutes of chaos, in which spectators said staff gave up trying to separate them.

One customer was so shocked she took out her phone to film as the women threw punches, kicked and clawed at each other’s hair while screaming "S**g" at each other.

The appalling footage shows customers looking on in shock as the women career into shop displays, knocking clothing and other stock onto the floor and trample it underfoot in the scrap.

The brawl only ceased when one dropped her purse and paused to retrieve it, and the man with a grip on the other seized the opportunity to drag her away.

As she was led away, a women in a black top shouted: "I’m going to kill her, the little s**g."

Her white-topped antagonist then said: "S**g? Who started that?"

The video of the fight was posted online where it racked up more than 322,000 views, and thousands of comments, likes and shares.

The woman who filmed the catfight, who did not wish to be identified, said: "It’s not something you expect to see in the middle of the afternoon during the week – a bit of casual shopping and a fight breaks out.

"Everyone was shocked. I don’t think anyone knew what to do about it.

"It was more a shock, like I can’t believe this is actually happening in Burnley town centre in the middle of the afternoon. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.

"One of the girls had said: ‘What the f*** are you looking at’. That’s how it started.

"The other girl returned with ‘Nothing, what’s your f***ing problem’. There was a lot of foul language being used.

"I didn’t actually see who threw the first hit but it started with a smack to the face which resulted in a bit of kicking and hair grabbing.

"They started throwing each other into the clothing rails

"They were ramming each other into them as they were scuffling around. I don’t think it was on purpose really, it was more in the scuffle.

"Clothes were falling off, bags were falling onto the floor – they were being trampled.

"Obviously the boyfriends were trying to stop it. A female member of staff came out and actually got one of the girls in a headlock.

"A male manager grabbed one of the women from around the waist to pull her away from the other one.

"You could see he was trying quite hard because he was very red in the face.

"The manager was quite tall. He seemed to have a decent build to him and he couldn’t separate them so I had no chance.

"I am 5"1. If a manager at about 6"0 couldn’t do it then there was no way I could.

"They wouldn’t stop even with the two boyfriends and a member of staff trying to separate them.

"It was just going for ages."

The woman in the black t-shirt left the store with her male companion shortly after he forced her away, leaving her foe to face the consequences with the store manager.

The customer, who was buying a sports bra at the time, said: "The store was quite a mess afterwards.

"There were quite a few pants on the floor and the staff got straight to cleaning it up and sorting it out.

"Everyone was genuinely just in shock. Fights don’t happen very often in the middle of the day.

"In general it’s not really something you hear about often. That’s why I got my camera out.

"I don’t think they knew each other beforehand – but they will do now."
