A maintenance worker was stabbed at Pace University in lower Manhattan on Friday morning, police said.
The 37-year-old subcontractor was stabbed several times by another maintenance man, 42, around 10:45 a.m. on the seventh floor of 41 Park Row, authorities said.
The male victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim was still conscious as he was carried into the ambulance, said Rick Hildebrand, 47, a lead electrician working on the building.
“It looked like he had a stab wound in the side of his head and the side of his face,” Hildebrand recalled. “There was blood everywhere.”
The attacker was arrested at the scene and charges were pending.
Police are still investigating what sparked the violence.
