BBC star Charles Hanson has moved out of his family home after police were called to a "domestic incident" at the address in June, according to reports.

The 45-year-old auctioneer has featured on Bargain Hunt since 2002 and also makes regular appearances on Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip.

Charles has lived at his £1.5million family home in Derbyshire with his wife Rebecca Ludlam and their two children since 2014.

However, it has now been reported that Charles has left the six bedroom property following the police attending two months ago.

A source told The Sun: "It is not the sort of place you expect police to turn up. But a car came and they spoke to Charles.

"It is a tiny village so a few people have been talking. It is all very shocking."

The publication claims that a woman at the property told them she "can't comment" but confirmed that Charles had "moved out".

Derbyshire Police told the newspaper: "The force was called to reports of a domestic incident at an address in Quarndon on June 13."

OK! has contacted representatives for Charles, the BBC and Derbyshire Police for comment on this story.

Charles started his career in 1999 at London auction house Christie's before finding fame on TV three years later.

He met diagnostic radiographer Rebecca through friends in 2008 and they married two years later at All Saints Church in Mackworth.

Speaking to the Derbyshire Telegraph in 2010, Charles said: "She is a beautiful, blonde, elegant and lovely lady.

"I'm used to dealing with beautiful things but Rebecca is the most beautiful treasure of all and I'm very lucky she is my wife.

"We're very busy people but we understand each other very well and I think we'll be very happy together."

On Saturday, Charles was seen in a social media video being playful at work as he pretended to listen intently to an antique doll who was seemingly whispering in his ear.

Shared by Charles' auction house Hansons on their X account, they wrote: "Playtime @HansonsAuctions Well, it is the weekend," alongside an emoji of a face blowing a kiss.
