Britney Spears flaunts her curves in a sparkling gold tasseled dress… as she says she’s ‘MORTIFIED’ for posting subpar singing video

Britney Spears emerged on Tuesday with a new Instagram video in which she highlighted her stellar figure in a gold dress.

But in her caption, Britney proved to be her harshest critic as she said she was ‘mortified’ by a recent singing video she posted.

The 41-year-old pop superstar claimed she had posted the ‘wrong video’ of herself singing by accident on Monday.

She said she tried to play it off as intentional in the initial caption by complaining that she was too ‘flat,’ but now Britney says she never meant to post that particular video in the first place.

Despite the regrets in her caption, she looked totally vivacious in her accompanying video, in which she highlighted her curvaceous figure in a sparkling gold dress.

Britney’s off-the-shoulder look featured a sheer material and a plunging neckline highlighted her cleavage.

Her dress was decorated with rhinestones that glittered in the light, and the outfit had a striped design radiating out from her trim midriff.

The jeweled mini dress featured a playful tasseled gold skirt, and Britney complemented her dress with a pair of pointy-toed gold heels.

The blond beauty wore her long hair in thick waves that she flipped across her shoulders dramatically.

The video, which was soundtracked to Drake’s Nonstop, showed multiple short, silent clips of Britney strutting up to the camera and flipping her hair or adjusting her dress, as if she was about to turn around on a fashion show runway.

In one take, she fluttered the tassels of her skirt as she came to a dramatic stop, while in another she playfully pulled the top of her strapless dress up to prevent herself from having a wardrobe malfunction. 

But her caption was significantly less bubbly, though she seemed to take her recent singing video mixup in stride.

‘Holy s*** !!! Mistake s*** !!! I posted the wrong video of me singing yesterday and once I did, I tried to play it off with the caption !!!’ she claimed. ‘Embrace the fall !!! Yep and try to play it off … yep that’s me !!!!’

Britney’s post was even more harsh than she was in the original caption for her video on Monday, which featured footage of herself belting out her hit track Oops!…I Did It Again, which she released in 2000.

While it has been six years since her last live performance, the pop star provided her more than 41.6 million Instagram followers a rare video of her singing. 

‘Most of this sounds pretty flat … but I liked DOING IT AGAIN,’ the Grammy winner captioned the clip, which featured just her vocals as the camera was pointed to the ceiling. 

She continued: ‘Wait OOPS…That was so lame… I know!!!’

The performer went on to tell fans to kiss her ‘f***ing a**’ and ‘stay classy’ before proceeding to post some topless shots of herself in bed.

While cuddled up on top of a white comforter, the star, who sported just a pair of green patterned underwear, revealed she was not wearing any makeup in the snaps.

‘I was the stylist and propped my phone on an alarm clock!!!’ she gushed, before advising others not to take social media so ‘extremely serious.’

As she playfully stuck her tongue out at the camera, Spears looked relaxed as she rocked a statement necklace and her blonde hair in a high ponytail. 

Back in July, the mother-of-two shared a similar video of herself crooning a rendition of the hit song, Baby One More Time.

After teasing that she had not ‘shared her voice in an extremely long time,’ Spears  added a detailed caption to her post, explaining the importance behind the version of the song she was singing, and the years of rejection that she had faced.

‘Well I have asked for what I wanted for 14 years…a different version of ‘Baby’ but have the producers actually work for me and put it together,’ she wrote.

The Toxic singer then stated that the people in her life at the time, from her family to her producers, ‘ruined it for me, embarrassed me and made me feel like absolutely nothing.’

The star revealed that she was finally taking the time to reveal what she had dreamed of creating years ago, but was told ‘NO.’

The star explained that after all the years of asking to make her version, she has finally been told to do it.

‘…you say go do it NOW after 14 years of asking and telling…I worked my a** off then I was locked up in one place…It’s too late,’ she wrote out, stating that the time has come and gone for her to produce her own version.

‘I’m pretty traumatized for life and yes I’m pissed as f*** and no I won’t probably perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point,’ she wrote on Instagram.
