Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion‘s collaboration “WAP” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 chart with record first-week streams.
This is the fourth song from Cardi B that tops the Billboard Hot 100 and Megan’s second.
“WAP” was released on Atlantic Records on August 7 as the lead single from Cardi’s upcoming second studio album.
The raunchy hip-hop song driven by heavy bass sees the rappers discuss how they want men to please them, using several sexual innuendos.
With 93 million U.S. streams in the week ending August 13, “WAP” broke the record for most streamed track in its first week of release, Nielsen Music/MRC Data shows.
Ariana Grande‘s “7 Rings,” which streamed 85.3 million times in its first week of release in February last year, was the previous best.
