Dakota Johnson joins Chloe Moretz for Suspiria peremiere in Venice

Dakota certainly turned heads in her satin gown, which featured a voluminous princess-style skirt and sleek strapless neckline. 

Letting the statement garment do all the talking, she accessorised with glittering diamond drop earrings and a dazzling ring.

Dakota Johnson took a twirl on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday and she made us green with envy. The actress was a showstopper in a red strapless Christian Dior couture gown with a train that started at the shoulders. We absolutely love this silhouette for its gathered train, elegance and beauty. There's very little you could do to top this look.

    But first, let me take a selfie: The actress happily posed for photos and signed autographs for fans 

    The trio star alongside Mia Goth and Lutz Ebersdorf in horror film Suspiria, that is in competition for the main prize of the festival and will premiere on Saturday night.

    According to the studio, the film is about ‘a darkness [that] swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist.  Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.’   

    How To Be Single star Dakota plays an ‘ambitious young dancer’ studying under a character played by a haunting Tilda.

    The doctor in the film is allegedly played by real life doctor Lutz Ebersdorf but rumors surfaced that it might actually just be Tilda Swinton in elaborate makeup.

    However, according to Indie Wire, Suspiria’s executive producer Stella Savino insists the character isn’t played by Swinton and that the doctor is real, with no acting experience.   

    Suspiria is a feature remake of a 1977 short film of the same name.

    Dare to bare: Naomi Watts, 49, pulled out all the stops in a metallic embellished dress and suede courts 

    It’s directed by Luca Guadagnino who helmed last year’s best picture Oscar nominated romance Call Me By Your Name. He has worked with Tilda Swinton on three previous films, The Protagonists, I Am Love and A Bigger Splash.

    The film will premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September and we be released in New York and Los Angeles theaters October 26, just in time for Halloween. A nationwide release is scheduled for November 2. 

    Suspiria will have to impress this year’s jury panel, the president of which is director, Guillermo Del Toro. The jury consists of Christoph Waltz, Taika Waititi, Malgorzata Szumowska, Trine Dyrholm, Nicole Garcia, Sylvia Chang and Paolo Genovese.
