Dancing On Ice star Caprice Bourret is back in training and is hoping to return to the show next weekend, ITV has confirmed.

The American model cut a sombre figure as she headed out in London on Monday morning, pictured for the first time since it was revealed she had ‘parted ways’ with her professional skating partner Hamish Gaman.

The 48-year-old blonde was absent from Sunday night’s live show, leaving viewers baffled when it was revealed she would no longer be skating with Hamish.

An ITV spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘We’re pleased to say that Caprice is back on the ice today in training and very much working towards returning to the show on Sunday night.’

Caprice appeared downcast while heading out, donning a black tracksuit top layered over a white polo neck.

She completed her look with a pair of black leggings and a pair of matching trainers, clutching a pair of sunglasses in one hand. 

The star appeared to be on her way to meet with ITV bosses to discuss her future in the competition – with the news of her return confirmed a few hours later.

Caprice was accompanied by her devoted husband Ty as the couple headed out together. 

After signing up for the competition, Caprice had admitted Ty was ‘a little bit dubious’ about her skating with a male partner. 

She told OK! magazine: ‘When I first told him that I wanted to do this show, he was a little bit dubious about it, I’m not going to lie.

‘I mean, there are these hot professional skaters who you are literally spending more time with you than your own spouse, so that was a conversation we had to have.

On Sunday night, a spokesperson for the ITV show revealed that Caprice would hopefully be ‘back next week’, reassuring viewers that Hamish is still ‘very much part of our professional team.’

The announcement sparked a hysterical reaction from viewers who demanded to know the truth behind Caprice’s absence, kicking off the show in dramatic fashion as the other ten couples took to the ice to perform to some of the world’s most iconic musical hits.

Caprice and Hamish made their debut performance last week to Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved, and ended up in second place on the leaderboard with a respectable 25.5 points out of 40. 

The Celebrity Big Brother star also previously said she is ‘in it to win it,’ telling HELLO! last month: ‘I’m in it to win it. It’ll be tough but I have that go-for-it attitude. 

‘Although I’ve pulled a tendon in my foot and my whole body is covered in hundreds of bruises, I have just accepted that I’m going to fall – and now I have the no-fear factor. 

‘I love it so much that not only do I want to win but I also want to carry on skating. I’m highly competitive, a trait my two boys seem to have inherited from me. I want to win for them…’ 


They were doing so well! Caprice and Hamish made their debut performance last week to Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved, and ended up in second place on the leaderboard with a respectable 25.5 points out of 40

But despite Caprice’s absence, the show had to go on, and the 10 remaining couples took to the rink to perform to some of the greatest hits from musicals of the stage and screen.  

Diversity star Perri Kiely and his pro partner Vanessa Bauer t opped the leaderboard with 32 points out of 40 – a remarkable recovery following Vanessa concussing herself during training last week.

After landing in the bottom two, Lucrezia Millarini lost the judges vote meaning she and Brendyn became the second couple to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice.

Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
