Ellen DeGeneres is expanding her empire with the help of Walmart.
The talk show host announced today that she will launch a women’s clothing line with the retail giant. The collection, called EV1, will focus on denim as well as T-shirts, sneakers, accessories and more.
“EV1 promotes kindness and love and diversity. We wanted it to appeal and be available to as many people as possible. Plus, it really is adorable,” DeGeneres, who dubbed herself “Chief Design Enthusiast and Comfy Content Reviewer” of EV1, said in a press release.
There will be nearly 60 items in the first collection, all priced at $30 or less, that are designed to be mixed and matched and come in a large range of sizes. The full assortment will be available on Walmart.com, with new items launching seasonally. The retailer will also offer a select assortment in 2,300 of its stores beginning September 10.
This isn’t the first time that DeGeneres has tried her hand at fashion design. The comedian also heads up ED by Ellen, a lifestyle brand that offers clothing for adults and children as well as homewares and pet products at a slightly higher price point.
