Despite the outlandish claims Azealia Banks has leveled at him and his girlfriend Grimes over the last couple of days, Elon Musk says he’s never met the rapper.
In a days-long rant that started over the weekend, Banks has claimed that she spent a number of days at the billionaire’s house by herself waiting to collaborate with Grimes on a song, accused him of tweeting while on acid and even suggested that the couple wanted to have a threesome with her.
But when reached for comment over Twitter direct message, Musk, 47, told Gizmodo he “has never even met [Banks] or communicated with her in any way.”
This denial echoed one made by his company Tesla earlier in the day when a spokesperson told Gizmodo’s sister site Jalopnik that Banks’ claim that he tweeted while on drugs were “complete nonsense.”
Musk and Tesla’s statements trace back to claims made by the rapper on her Instagram story over the weekend. “Literally been sitting at Elon Musks waiting for Grimes to show up and start these sessions,” she wrote. “I have no idea when she is coming back. I’m going to wait one more day then I’m going to go home.”
Even though she pledged to go home after another day of waiting, Banks, 27, continued to rant about Grimes, 30, and Musk on Monday, suggesting they wanted to have a threesome with her and calling Musk a “trash ass beta male pig.”
In one of the many posts, which may be the one Tesla was referring to, Banks wrote, “Lol I waited around all weekend while grimes coddled her boyfriend for being too stupid to know not to go on twitter while on acid.”
Banks also decried colonialism and white male privilege, reminded people that Musk got hair plugs, questioned his family history in South Africa and called him a “fake ass libertarian s– bag.”
Banks’ rep declined to comment.
Of course, Banks is no stranger to weird and wild celebrity beefs. Just this year, she’s called Cardi B illiterate, launched a GoFundMe campaign to sue Russell Crowe and said she hoped Wendy Williams would “die on air.” Still, this one might top those all.
