Former Prime Minister Liz Truss being tipped to star in the next series of I’m A Celebrity following Matt Hancock’s third place success in the jungle

Former Prime Minister Liz Truss is being tipped to star in the next series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! following Matt Hancock’s third place success.

The politician, 47, who became Britain’s shortest-serving PM last year, was revealed to be amongst the favourites to appear in the upcoming November series.

And after fans were treated to a sneak peak of the brand new I’m A Celebrity All Stars edition in South Africa, viewers may be wondering which celebrities will enter the Australian jungle later this year.

According to OLBG, Liz is currently sitting at 25/1 with UK betting websites as they predict who could be announced as the next batch of contestants.

She could following the footsteps of Former Health Secretary Matt, who defied all expectations in making last year’s grand final.

Meanwhile, The Apprentice’s Thomas Skinner is the current fan favourite coming in at 3/1 while second favourite is former Premier League referee Mike Dean at 9/2.

The former Health Secretary, 44, was beaten only by Jill Scott and Owen Warner to first and second place respectively, with the Lioness, 35, being crowned as the 2022 Queen of the Jungle.

After his exit, Matt admitted he decided to enter the jungle because he wanted to show the ‘lighter side’ to his personality.

Upon leaving the Australian jungle, Matt was reunited with his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo and the pair shared a close embrace and kiss on the iconic bridge.

As they hugged, an overwhelmed Matt was heard saying ‘I love you so much’ to his partner, who travelled more than 9,000 miles to greet the Tory MP.

Matt lasted an impressive 21 days in the jungle, and took part in his final gruesome Bushtucker Trial before his exit in the final – narrowly missing being crowned as Jungle King.

During his jungle stint, he served as Camp Leader, and was voted to do six consecutive trials by the public, including a gruesome eating trial alongside Boy George.

Earlier this week, a dramatic preview clip of the new I’m A Celebrity All Stars series sees Janice Dickinson break down in tears while Paul Burrell screams in terror as they take on a number of gruesome trials.

The pair are among the first nine celebrities announced of the brand new South Africa special of the programme, with the likes of Helen Flanagan and Carol Vorderman also taking part.

Hosts Ant and Dec shared a first look at the I’m A Celebrity camp during Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend, and by the looks of things, the stars will not have it easy.

With no public vote, they will be competing against each other in a battle to become the first ever ‘I’m A Celebrity Legend’.
