Johnny Depp reunites with his Hollywood Vampires bandmates for overseas tour… after his ex-wife Amber Heard admitted she can’t afford $8.3million in damages
Johnny Depp has reunited with his Hollywood Vampire bandmates as they are preparing to go on tour after he won his defamation trial against Amber Heard.
The American actor, 59, will be heading on an overseas tour next year with his bandmates Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen.
The supergroup, which was formed back in 2012, took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce they would be performing in Germany and Luxembourg.

They shared a poster announcing the tour dates but fans were quick to flood the comments section with eager requests that they take the tour worldwide.
The band’s statement read: ‘The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!! We’re coming to Germany and Luxembourg Summer 2023!
‘Tickets go on sale Monday 27 June at 11:00am CET. Keep an eye out for more to come.’
The Hollywood Vampires had planned to embark on a UK and European tour last year but were forced to cancel their plans in March 2021 amid Covid-19 pandemic.

They said in an Instagram statement: ‘We are beyond disappointed to announce that the Hollywood Vampires must cancel our rescheduled UK/European tour this summer.
‘We kept trying to make it happen, but unfortunately due to the uncertainty of Covid-19 travel restrictions, it is just not possible.
‘Thank you for understanding, and we WILL be back rocking with you once the world returns to normal!’
Johnny, Alice and Joe formed the Hollywood Vampires in 2012, initially performing cover songs to honor rock stars who died in the 1970s.

Johnny has recently hit the road with Jeff Beck and has teamed up with the legendary guitarist to record a new studio album that’s set to drop in July.
The 13-track collection includes two new Depp originals and an eclectic mix of cover songs ranging from such iconic artists as the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye and John Lennon to alternative rockers such as Killing Joke and The Velvet Underground.
The upcoming album, which is slated to be released July 15, is titled 18.
‘When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity. We would joke about how we felt 18 again so that just became the album title too,’ Jeff, 77, said in a statement about the album, as reported by Billboard.

In keeping with their fond teenage memories that were sparked by the music, the two artists decided to use an illustration of themselves as 18-year-olds, drawn by Jeff’s wife Sandra, for the album cover.
For Johnny, who grew up listening to Jeff’s music, the collaboration is something of a dream come true.
‘It’s an extraordinary honor to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged enough to call my brother,’ Depp added in their statement.
The duo first met in 2016, and quickly bonded over conversations about guitars and cars, all while trying to make each other laugh.
Over the years Jeff began to appreciate Johnny’s songwriting abilities, which led to the former Yardbirds guitarist to play on a song, Welcome To Bushwacker, that appeared on the Hollywood Vampires’ album Rise (2019).

His musical ventures come after his ex-wife Amber, 36, admitted she can’t afford the $8.3 million in damages awarded to him during a Dateline interview last week.
It is unclear whether he will enforce the ruling and ask Amber to pay the high sum of money in its totality.
His lawyers have hinted that might not be the case, saying his motivation behind the lawsuit, which was to restore his reputation after Amber raised claims of domestic abuse in a 2016 Washington Op-ed, has already been achieved.
Speaking to NBC’s Dateline last week, she chose to focus on the positives after the trial left her reputation severely bruised and her opportunities for work continue to decrease.
The actress said that a silver lining of not being busy with work at the moment is that she can enjoy being a full-time mother to one-year-old daughter Oonagh.

In a chat screened in its entirety for the first time Friday, Amber told Dateline’s host Savannah Guthrie that she was ‘terrified’ of telling her side of the story.
The actress said she had been wounded by the ‘hate and vitriol’ directed at her, but did not regret bringing the case.
‘I know the scariest, most intimidating thing for anybody talking about sexual violence is not being believed, being called a liar, or being humiliated,’ she said.
Amber said she was not speaking out because she was ‘vindictive’.
‘This would be a really lousy way of getting vengeance,’ she said. ‘As silly as it is to say this out loud, my goal is – I just want people to see me as a human being.’

Amber’s interview raised eyebrows, with her repeating her defamatory allegations that he beat her.
Despite continuing to air her allegations, Amber insists that she wants nothing more than to move on with her life, telling Savannah: ‘I look forward to living my life and I have a long one, I hope, in front of me. And I will continue to walk through this with my chin up.’
In the interview, Amber admitted that she ‘absolutely still loves’ Johnny – despite branding him a ‘liar’ who swayed the jury with his ‘fantastic acting’, as well as: ‘I will [stand by my testimony] to my dying day. I know what happened to me. I’m here as a survivor,’ she said.
‘To my dying day I will stand by every word of my testimony.’

Shortly before the interview aired, Amber’s team insisted they were unrepentant.
‘If Mr Depp or his team have a problem with this, we recommend that Johnny himself sit down with Savannah Guthrie for an hour and answer all her questions,’ a spokesperson told MailOnline, as Amber branded Johnny, a ‘liar’ and doubled down on claims that he beat her and sexually assaulted her during their relationship.
Amber also released a ‘binder full’ of notes from her therapist, which she claims is fresh evidence proving her allegations of physical and sexual abuse against her by Depp – despite the notes already being dismissed by the judge.
Amber turned over ‘years’ worth’ of notes taken by her therapist detailing instances when she says the actor ‘hit her, threw her against a wall, and threatened to kill her’.
The judge in her trial against Johnny had already dismissed the notes as ‘hearsay’ and barred her legal team from submitting the documents as evidence.

Nevertheless, the actress has now gone public with the binder, which ‘dates back to 2011 from the very beginning of her relationship’.
Earlier this month, a jury ruled that Amber defamed her ex-husband by publishing a piece about being a sexual assault survivor in the Washington Post.
She was ordered to pay Johnny $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, although the second payment was reduced to $350,000 per Virginia law by the judge.
She was awarded a relatively paltry $2 million in compensatory damages, meaning that Johnny walked away from the case with Amber owing him $8.35million.
