MAFS AU: Duncan James dumps Alyssa Barmonde at final vows: 'Broken'

Married At First Sight EXCLUSIVE: Duncan James blindsides bride Alyssa Barmonde by dumping her at final vows: ‘He ripped her heart out’

  • SPOILER ALERT

Despite starting off as one of the strongest couples on Married At First Sight, it looks like things are about to go south for Duncan James and Alyssa Barmonde.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the cyber security sales director is set to brutally blindside the mother-of-one by dumping her during their final vows.

According to an-set spy, Alyssa was left in tears as Duncan blindsided her when he revealed his decision to walk away from their relationship.

The love-struck bride is understood to be shattered that she was ‘strung along’ when it seemed the producers knew Duncan had no intention of sticking by her side.

A source close to the devastated bride revealed, ‘Alyssa just didn’t understand why she was strung along.’

‘Alyssa knew things were never going to work out with Duncan, as much as she wanted them to. They both live different lives.’

The source claimed that Alyssa was pressured her to say ‘yes’ by producers, when they ‘clearly knew Duncan would be dumping her. It wasn’t fair’.

Duncan’s bombshell confession left Alyssa visibly crushed, as he coldly told her, ‘I don’t want to hurt you, and I don’t want to continue getting hurt.’

Daily Mail Australia understands that Alyssa and Duncan have only exchanged texts ‘once or twice’ since the show wrapped filming, and things are worse than imagined.

‘They’re not even on talking terms at the moment,’ another source let slip.

‘They both agreed that it was for the best not to do any joint interviews and aren’t even pretending to be together.’

Despite odds stacked against them, Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton and Melinda Willis and Layton Mills are the only two MAFS couples to continue their relationship outside of the experiment.
