Malin Andersson reveals she’s ‘struggling’ one month after giving birth to daughter Xaya as she announces social media break

She gave birth to her daughter Xaya at the end of January with her boyfriend Jared.

And on Sunday, Malin Andersson took to Instagram where she revealed she is ‘struggling’ as she announced she would be taking a break from social media.

The former Love Island star, 29, only announced the birth of her daughter last week, when she shared her first photo of the newborn and revealed her unique name.

Malin wrote to her Instagram Stories: ‘Gonna take some more time away. I’m struggling,’ followed by a sad-face emoji.

MailOnline has contacted Malin Andersson’s representatives for comment. 

Earlier this month, Malin took to social media to post the stunning black and white photo of her cradling her baby girl and announced her name as Xaya.

Captioning the gorgeous shot, she wrote: ‘Here she is… Meet XAYA 28.01.22.

‘Me and Jared have been in the most beautiful, surreal baby bubble and so I took a month out to just focus on our family.’

Malin revealed Xaya was born via emergency c-section and described it as a ‘bittersweet experience’ as surgeons used the same scar from when she gave birth to her late daughter Consy.

In 2019 Consy died at just four weeks old after being born seven weeks premature.

She explained: ‘I ended up having an emergency c-section with her, they took her out of the same scar Consy came from.. that was a bittersweet experience for me which I needed to take in after.

‘I can’t even describe the amount of love she has given us, and how it feels to be a mum again – but to a healthy baby. I look at her and I have to pinch myself..

‘She’s the spit of her dad, and is covered in black thick hair (I’m jealous.)

‘Thank-you for all of your messages, it’s been overwhelming – you guys have really followed my journey and I’m in awe of all of your support.

‘We are sending you all so much love,’ she signed off.

Malin welcomed her little one on her due date, three years after the tragic death of her daughter Consy.

A spokesperson for Malin, told MailOnline: ‘We are super excited to share that Malin gave birth to a healthy baby girl last Friday 28th January on her due date. 

‘She and her partner are completely in love and are taking this time as a family to enjoy the baby bubble but she cant wait to share more with everyone soon.’

Malin went public with her new romance back in June, but rarely shares updates on her love life on her social media platforms.

In August the reality personality announced that she was expecting a baby with her new beau, who was a close friend for years before their romance began.

The news came shortly after she also revealed she had suffered a miscarriage last year.

Malin announced her news by posting a sweet black and white image of herself and Jared cradling her pregnant stomach, alongside the caption: ‘My next chapter. My new beginning. My happy ending. My entire universe. All mine.’ 

A few months later, Malin threw a gender reveal party at her home where she shared the news that she was having a baby girl. 

She admitted finding out the gender, and the fact her due date is around the same time she gave birth to her first child, touched her even more.

Speaking previously to OK! Magazine, Malin said: ‘Even though I knew what the gender was, because I went to the scan myself, when I saw the smoke it brought up loads of emotions.

‘It made me feel really emotional. It confirmed it was real, in a weird way. It was like a little miracle and a blessing.

‘To make it even more special, my new baby shares the same due date as my daughter Consy.’
