Miranda Lambert has announced that she will lead the Mutt March parade on June 6 in downtown Nashville as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of her MuttNation Foundation.
The march, part of the upcoming CMA Fest, will start at 8:30 am at Nissan Stadium.
“The more people that march, the more dogs we can help,” the country singer said on Twitter, where she posted a video of last year’s march.
“We’re hoping that 1,000 or more people, some with their furry friends, will join us walking in support of shelter pet adoption,” Lambert said in a statement.
She added, “Country music lovers and dog lovers, they go hand-in-hand, and CMA Fest provides the perfect setting to make that special connection.”
MuttNation is a donation-supported non-profit organization launched in 2009 to promote the adoption of shelter pets, advance spay and neuter and educate the public about the benefits of these actions.
Dozens of shelter dogs were adopted during the MuttNation activities at the 2018 CMA Fest.
