Pink reveals she’s been ‘looking into’ applying for Australian citizenship and moving her family to the country ahead of her tour Down Under

Pink has always had a special relationship with Australia. 

Not only is the American pop star a huge hit with audiences Down Under, she loves visiting the country, too. 

Ahead of her Australian tour, the So What hit-maker, 43, has revealed that she’d love to become an Australian citizen.

Appearing on 60 Minutes on Sunday night, Pink said she was ‘looking into’ becoming a local. 

‘Last year I was thinking about applying for citizenship, I am not even joking,’ she said. 

Pink added that she told her husband, Carey Hart, that they should move, and that she ‘can’t wait’ to tour Australia again.

‘I was like, if we are going somewhere, Carey, that’s where we are going.  So I was kind of looking into it,’ she added. 

Carey and Pink have two children – daughter Willow, 11, and son Jameson, six.  

Pink has announced her Summer Carnival Tour will hit stadiums in seven cities across Australia in February next year.

While the singer has toured Australia several times before, she previously only played arena-sized venues, so this will be her first proper stadium tour.

Pink will kick off the Australasian leg of her tour at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on February 9, 2024.

She will then perform at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle on February 13; Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on February 16; Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast on February 20; Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on February 23; Adelaide Oval on February 27; and Optus Stadium in Perth on March 1. 

‘Summer 2024 can’t come soon enough,’ Pink said in a social media post on Thursday morning.

The tour is to promote the hitmaker’s ninth album Trustfall, which is released on February 17.

The lead single from her latest album, Never Gonna Not Dance Again, only peaked at 64 on the ARIA Singles Chart, but its successor Trustfall has taken off across streaming platforms in the past week.

Pink last performed Down Under during her Beautiful Trauma Tour in 2018.
