Prince Harry Reportedly Reached Out to Some of His Exes About Being Part of His Memoir, 'Spare'

It’s already been well-established that Prince Harry’s memoir is going to full of, as the publisher, Random House, describes it, “raw, unflinching honesty,” but apparently at least *some* of that raw and unflinching honesty might come from sources other than Harry himself.

According to a report from The Sun, members of Harry’s inner circle, including some of his closest friends and even ex-girlfriends, were asked to speak with his ghostwriter, JR Moehringer, for the book. Don’t get too excited about tea from royal exes, though, because apparently they were all pretty shocked to even be asked and most ended up passing on the chance to be a part of the project all together.

“Harry did reach out. Friends and girlfriends were polite and said they would think about it but ultimately most said No,” a source apparently said. “It was felt to be kind of ironic that Harry would hit the roof if he ever had an inkling they spoke to the media, but now he wants them to when he needs their help.”

Specifically, the Sun report says these royal insiders “were asked to speak about the most intimate areas of his life, relationships and upbringing” and that at least one of them was “shocked that, after being ordered for years never to speak to the media, they were then asked to contribute to the book.”

This report about Harry’s exes and BFFs being asked to be interviewed for the book comes amid speculation that his publishers have pushed him to include more tea in the book, which a source in-the-know about the book said has “been back and forth between Harry and JR Moehringer and the publishers a few times.”

“There is a real concern that that means Harry has had to sex up the book and include revelations that even he might not even be that comfortable with,” the book source added.

Ofc, we’ll all have to wait until Spare‘s January 10, 2023 release to find out what’s *actually* in the book.
