Salma recently revealed that she has a multi-film contract with Marvel Studios.

The actress opened up last week on Smallzy’s Celebrity Small Talk podcast about her long-term commitment after making her debut as Ajak in Eternals.

‘I did sign multiple movie deals,’ said Salma, who confessed to being nervous about portraying Ajak, who was a nearly immortal male character when created by the late Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics in 1976.

‘That doesn’t mean they’re going to put me in it!,’ she added.

She also commented on the infamous secrecy surrounding Marvel Studios projects.

‘It was kind of funny, it’s so extreme. …It was kind of fun being part of this secret society that you have to protect so fearlessly,’ Salma said.

Eternals was released on Friday and already has grossed more than $161 million at the worldwide box office.

The film also stars Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Angelina Jolie, Kit Harrington and Lia McHugh.

Eternals follows an Earth-based race of immortal beings with superhuman powers who come out of hiding to protect humans from their ancient enemies the Deviants.

The film features MCU’s first deaf superhero [Lauren Ridloff as Makkari] and its first openly gay superhero [Bryan Tyree Henry as Phastos] who shares the franchise’s first onscreen same-sex kiss with Haaz Sleiman, who plays his husband.

Podcast interview: ‘I did sign multiple movie deals,’ said Salma, shown last month in London, who also confessed to being nervous about portraying Ajak, who was a nearly immortal male character when created by the late Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics in 1976

Eternals also marked the first time in 26 Marvel cinematic universe films that an intimate conjugal moment was visibly shown between two characters. The scene – depicted by Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao – already captured headlines before the film´s theatrical release.

But Richard, who stars as Ikaris, said any headline focused on superhero sex is ‘just kind of crass.’ He calls the love scene involving his character and Gemma´s Sersi an ‘intimate moment.’

‘We´re trying to tell a love story and we´re trying to show an intimacy and a delicacy of people that have been together for many, many years,’ said Richard about their characters, who fell in love thousands of years ago during the Babylonian Empire. He said the scene marked a ‘huge part of the start of their relationship.’
