When asked how she felt about leaving the show in its early stages, the star candidly addressed her feelings.

She said: “Obviously sad, that’s a normal reaction as I hope that there is so much more that the people can give.”

The dance pro went on to admit that she struggles with leaving the show after putting her “heart and soul” into the performances.

“It’s always very, very sad to go, it’s not only hard work, you put soul and heart – you put everything into it so when it’s over it feels a little empty”, she revealed.

However, the blonde beauty admitted that she brushed herself off and started preparing for next year’s competition, adding: “But it’s life.”

Luba joined the cast of the BBC favourite show for the 17th series which saw her partner with Olympic athlete James Cracknell.

However, they were the first couple to be eliminated from the competition, finishing in 15th place with an average score of 12.

The next year, Luba was partnered with Jason Bell, who is an American football player and the ex-boyfriend of Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle.

The duo finished in 11th place with a score of 20.3.

However, the star has been confirmed as part of this year’s line-up for the BBC show.

Speaking about her ideal dance partner, Luba emphasised the importance of trust in the dance relationship.

She said: “This year I want someone who is committed and wants to go for it and will trust me and have fun – that’s pretty much it.”

The dance pro also revealed that she has no idea who she will be partnered with until the day it’s announced.

Addressing her aim for this year’s show, the star revealed that she hopes she will progress further in the competition than her last two years.

She said: “My goals for this year’s show is to do a better job than last year, a greater job than last year and hopefully to do as many weeks as we can and just to enjoy the process.

“I truly enjoy the whole journey no matter if I’m out, if I’m in – I mean if I’m out week one, obviously I want to stay until the final, but I just want to enjoy it and do my best”, she explained.

Earlier this week the star attended the premiere of the Here Come The Boys production at the London Palladium.

Pictured with Strictly co-stars Katya Jones and Janette Manrara, Luba lent her support to Strictly’s Aljaz Skorjanec and Pasha Kovalev who were starring in the musical.

Documenting the evening on social media, the star enjoyed the first night of the show.
