‘So chuffed to say our programme was no.1 on ch5 most Sundays and doing really well on my5 every week with it being the most watched programme on my5.

‘We are currently having a well earned little break from filming before heading into filming series 4 which we are very excited about.’

It comes after Noel and Sue have once again been called out by viewers after going on a lavish holiday on 22 Kids and Counting – after ab episode saw them complain about their energy bill.

The parents-of-22, who live in Morecambe with their brood, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a lavish trip to the Maldives where they treated each other to some rest and relaxation and fancy dining experiences.

The trip took place last October, but it was not broadcast on the show until last night.

As they watched the pair jet away for another holiday – the third on the Channel 5 show’s latest series so far – viewers could not help but wonder about the couple’s finances.

In the midst of the cost of living crisis, many were angered at the fact that Noel and Sue had complained about rising living costs and their massive energy bill in a previous episode of the show.

Household: The couple, who are known for having Britain’s biggest family, have been giving fans an insight into their very busy household in Channel 5’s 22 Kids & Counting

The episode began as the Radford kids tried to convince their parents to go on a luxury holiday to mark the milestone in their marriage.

The Radford brood had hatched a plan, where all the children pitched in to cover the tasks Sue and Noel would normally take on around the house so that their parents could go away.

After some persuading, Noel and Sue agreed to go on the holiday, picking the Maldives as their destination for their first time away together as a couple in 30 years.

While Noel noted the trip would cost ‘an arm and a leg,’ the pair spared no expense and splashed on a trip to the exclusive island of Manafaru, staying at a resort where private villas cost £897 a night.

After a long journey taking three planes, the couple finally made it to their dream holiday.

The show then saw Noel and Sue sunbathing by the pool, going snorkeling and treating each other to romantic fine dining, trying to enjoy their holiday without worrying too much about their brood at home.

The couple also enjoyed dinners on the beach, bike rides and picnic on their ‘break of a lifetime.’

‘You know we’re really spoiling ourselves,’ Noel admitted sheepishly. ‘But… 30 years… why shouldn’t we,’ he added.

Sue agreed: ‘We’ve worked really hard, haven’t we? Not just with the work, and family life, but we’ve had to work on our marriage as well, haven’t we?’ she added.

And Noel pushed the luxury further, revealing he had brought a present for Sue on their anniversary.

Fancy: The episode of the Channel 5 show saw Sue and Moel jet off to a luxury resort on Manafaru island where they stayed in a private villa

The couple even planted a tree during their stay in the Maldives to mark their anniversary getaway

‘I’ve brought her a little present from the UK, I got her a pearl bracelet as it’s our 30th anniversary, and you celebrate it with pearl,’ he explained.

Sue loved her surprise present, thanking Noel with a kiss.

But while the couple were shown unwinding away from home, viewers were left unimpressed.

Many took an issue with the fact that the episode showed the couple jetting off to the Maldives, just a week after a previous episode saw them referencing the cost of living crisis and taking steps to reduce their energy bill.

Sue said the couple have worked a lot on their marriage through the year, as she agreed they deserved to unwind

‘Last week they’re making a cup of tea with water from the iron, this week they’re planning their holiday to the Maldives. What am I missing,’ one said.

‘Cant help but think this series is full of contradictions. One minute they are short of money, next they are jetting off on holidays, buying motorhomes and swimming pools’ one said.

‘Moaning about the cost of living last week, now in the Maldives this week,’ another pointed out.

‘Last week they were moaning about the cost of living… This week they’re paying for their own holiday,’ another said.
