Ulrika Jonsson, 54, compares herself to Madonna in dating younger men

‘I want freshness, vitality and energy around me’: Ulrika Jonsson, 54, compares herself to Madonna as she admits to finding dating younger men ‘electrifying’ – but has a strict age limit!

Ulrika Jonsson has praised Madonna and Thandiwe Newton by admitting she also enjoys dating younger men.

The TV presenter, 54, admitted to being in ‘awe’ of the two women and that she finds dating toyboys ‘electrifying’, though she says she has a strict age limit.

Pop legend Madonna, 63, has a history of dating younger men but is currently single having recently ended a relationship with 28-year old Ahlamalik Williams.

Meanwhile Thandiwe, 49, is understood to be living with American rapper Lonr, who at 25 is almost half her age, since separating from husband of twenty-four years Ol Parker.

Writing in her column in The Sun, Ulrika confessed that 95 per cent of the men she had dated the past year have been in their mid-twenties, but she refuses to date younger than her oldest son, 27.

She compared men her old age to ‘old bangers’ and said they can become ‘stale’ over the years, with younger men having ‘greater stamina’, ‘variety’ and ‘openness’.

She said: ‘That can be electrifying for a woman over 50 who thought her life might be more or less over.’

Speaking on the sex, she said: ‘While it would be wholly unjust of me to make a sweeping statement that the sex is superior (I can confirm it definitely is not guaranteed to be so), it does present itself as a considerably more varied experience.’

Ulrika did admit that there were drawbacks to younger men, saying they ‘tend to be more inconsistent and unreliable.’

Moving on: Thandiwe, 49, is understood to be living with American rapper Lonr, who at 25 is almost half her age, since separating from husband of twenty-four years Ol Parker

But she wrote that she had no intention of stopping, saying: ‘I like the idea of continuing to grow as a person and that is only going to happen if I am learning new tricks. I don’t want to stand still. I have no intention of taking it easy, retiring into a greying background of decrepit middle age. I want freshness, vitality and energy around me.’

Her comments come as Madonna has called it quits with her much-younger boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams.

The Queen of Pop dated her back-up dancer Williams for almost four years after first meeting in 2015, but the pair have now gone their separate ways.

Alluding to the split via her Instagram page, Madonna, who has been spotted out with a handsome mystery man in recent days, shared a not-so-cryptic quote that read: ‘Karma said: when somebody in your life is not right for you… god will continuously use them to hurt you until you become strong enough to let them go.’

However, it wasn’t the 35-year-age gap between Madge and the dancer that caused issues according to reports, as the former couple are said to have grown apart during lockdown.

‘Madonna has thrown herself into a busy social life and has been seeing her friends and family after the split,’ a source claimed to The Sun.

‘She has a packed schedule, working on her upcoming biopic, new music and looking after her family.’

‘Things have been on and off with Ahlamalik for a while. There’s a lot of love but for now they have decided to separate,’ the source added.

Meanwhile, Thandiwe is ‘living with 25-year-old musician Lonr’, following the pair’s recent public display of affection in Malibu, and wants ‘everyone to know’ about the romance, after splitting from her husband Ol Parker, 52.

A source told The Sun: ‘Thandiwe has been staying with Elijah in LA and is acting like a smitten teenager. Her wedding ring is off and it seems she has fallen for him.

‘Thandiwe seems like she can’t get enough of Elijah. When he isn’t working, he is with Thandiwe. They are very much a couple and Elijah is acting like the perfect boyfriend.

‘She isn’t hiding this romance. She wants everyone to know about it.’
