Duchess Sophie turns heads in floral headband at Coronation

King Charles’s Coronation is taking place at Westminster Abbey with the service being conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The King and the Queen Consort arrived at Westminster Abbey from Buckingham Palace this morning following “The King’s Procession” and after the service, they will be joined by other members of the Royal Family, including Sophie and Prince Edward, to return to the Palace, known as “The Coronation Procession”.

After the procession, King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as other working royals, will appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

For the special occasion, the Duchess of Edinburgh chose a beautiful white long dress which she combined with a very unique floral headband.

Sophie, who was seen wearing the Royal Victorian Order cape, accessorised her monochrome look with white pumps and a pair of diamond and sapphire drop earrings.

Last night, Sophie and her two children, Lady Louis and James, Viscount Severn, attended a pre-Coronation dinner at Oswald’s private member’s club in Mayfair with other members of the Royal Family.

The Duchess wore a pleated floral dress in pink from Erdem, the Roisin floral-print voile midi dress, which retails for £1,350.
