You’ve been putting your hair up all wrong – the right way means you’ll have a voluminous ponytail in two easy steps

HOW many times have you put your hair up in a ponytail and it ends up looking boring and sloppy?

Well, a hair expert has revealed how to make your ponytail look sleek but super voluminous in just two steps.

Hairstylist Amber-Rose Peake showed the amazing trick that gives her an elevated look each time in a TikTok video.

She first split her long hair in half and tied it up to create a half-up look.

Once that half was secured with a hair tie, she then grabbed the loose bottom part of her hair and split it in half again.

Using both pieces, she lifted them up to wrap around her half-updo and tied them on top as well.

The hairstylist spread the top part so it would cover the bottom one, and voila!

She was left with a stunning high ponytail with plenty of volume.

Amber-Rose then added in a comment that she always made sure her hair was voluminous by blow-drying it upside down.

This would lift the roots so they didn't look flat.

But if the fear of having staticky hair keeps you from playing with your locks, don't fret.

A woman previously shared how she gets rid of static after putting her hair up in a ponytail and all you need is a dryer sheet.

Yeah, like the ones you put in the dryer to prevent your clothes from coming out with static.

All you need to do is put your hair up in a ponytail and swipe the dryer sheet down the length of your hair.

In seconds, the static will be gone.

However, you need to make sure that the sheet is brand new.
