Adult star Maitland Ward says Disney co-stars ‘don’t want to be seen with me’

Maitland Ward has revealed her former co-star’s response to her new lifestyle, after swapping acting on Disney shows for a career starring in X-rated scenes.

The former actress was propelled into the public spotlight when she featured as Rachel McGuire on seasons six and seven of Disney series Boy Meets World and later appeared in comedy film White Chicks.

After retiring from mainstream acting, Maitland surprised her fans by launching a career posing in racy cosplay outfits, before signing up to film sex scenes with leading adult film production companies.

And, speaking on the Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast, the 45 year-old admitted that her new career had heralded the end of her chances of working with Disney again after losing touch with her cast members from Boy Meets World.

“I didn’t really get a response from anyone,” she revealed. “Trina [McGee] did, she was supportive of me in the beginning.

“Will [Friedle] has contacted me since then and says he supports me, but won’t watch anything that I do.

“And actually Michael Jacobs says he very much supports me, but the rest I have not heard a word from.”

Despite this, Maitland’s decision to swap daytime entertainment for X-rated activities has been a productive one; she took home her ninth industry award this summer.

And, she stressed on the podcast that none of her former co-stars had been overtly critical of her choice.

She added: “I haven’t heard scandal, I haven’t heard like, ‘oh you’re terrible’, but I kind of felt like I was just gone from them, like ‘we don’t anything to do with you any more’.

“Especially with the Girl Meets World thing, I was the only cast member not to be on the show, and I wasn’t even doing porn at that time, I was just doing cosplay and getting red carpet pictures.

“So I think Disney definitely was instrumental in not having me back, and I don’t think some of the cast wanted to be seen with me.”

Recently, the Californian has been gearing up to release a tell-all memoir about her double acting life, and spoke candidly with the Daily Star about long “12 hour” days on set shooting porn.
