Amanda Abbington quit Strictly Come Dancing after falling out with her pro dance partner, Giovanni Pernice, Daily Star can exclusively reveal.
Following our exclusive report on her exit, the BBC confirmed Amanda had left the show on Monday’s episode (October 23) of It Takes Two, stating that she had “decided to withdraw from the show”. But it's now been claimed that she left the ballroom because she'd "had enough" of Giovanni and wasn't enjoying herself.
“Amanda had simply had enough of Gio. She did not respond well to his teaching style and she wasn’t enjoying herself,” revealed our source. “Why put herself through it if she isn’t having any fun? She tried to tolerate him but there was too much bad blood and she simply cannot pretend anymore.”

Our source also revealed Amanda’s “sadness” at the exit, as she wished she had been partnered with someone different. “She came into this with the highest hopes and so excited and committed. She has been so jealous of all the fun everyone else has been having. Gio’s teaching style does not work for Amanda and enough was enough.”
The BBC’S full statement read: “'Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition. The show wishes her all the best for the future.” A montage of Amanda's best moments on the series was shown, before host Fleur East added: Amanda we are sending you all of our love”.
Giovanni later took to his Instagram to break his silence after the news broke, sharing a backstage photo with Amanda during Movie Week. Captioning the snap, he wrote: “Amanda ..I am so sad we can’t continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love”.

Rumours of a rift between her dance partner, Giovanni Pernice have also been making headlines, with the pair strongly denying a fallout during It Takes Two last week. Host Janette Manrara probed: "It honestly looks like you two are having the best time in rehearsals, getting along like a house on fire in rehearsals right?"
Shutting down any rift rumours, Amanda agreed and said: "Yeah we are, we are! We do and we laugh a lot, we have the same sense of humour which is really important. So we'll come out, work hard, and then we just laugh don't we."
Giovanni, 33, added: "We do have a good time, but at the same time, obviously we have to do our dance. It's a difficult process, especially for people who have never done it Strictly before.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday and Sunday on BBC One from 6.30pm or on catch-up on BBC iPlayer.
