Helen Skelton beams with Dan Walker in first appearance since split from husband

BBC presenter Helen Skelton pictured for the first time since her split from husband Richie Myler.

The Countryfile star was all smiles alongside BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker, as they cosied up to each other at a fancy do.

Helen recently revealed the heartbreaking news that her and her husband of eight years, rugby player Richie Myler, had split in a post on her social media.

She shared the news last month to her 276,000 followers on Instagram announcing that Richie had "left the family home". This shocked fans after Helen had just given birth to their third child, Elsie, in January of this year.

Helen has kept out of the spotlight since the break up, but made her first public appearance at the Sports Industry Awards on Thursday.

The Countryfile presenter was pictured along BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker, where he shared a selfie alongside Helen and Programme Director of the PGA tour Belinda Moore.

The host was all smiles in the pictures showing off her icy blonde hair, wearing a stunning cream midi dress paired with a gold chain.

Dan, meanwhile, sported a velvet blue blazer with black lapels matching his bow tie.

This comes days after Helen posted on her Instagram to discuss a Smart Energy GB campaign, highlighting to fans that she is no longer wearing a wedding ring.

Helen could be seen holding a mug in the cosy snaps, with the band missing from her finger.

Ex-husband Richie was seen alongside 'new girlfriend' Stephanie Thirkill, daughter of president of Leeds Rhinos Andrew Thirkill.

Helen and Richie have agreed to co-parent according to her post on social media, as the couple share three young children, the eldest is Ernie, 6, Louis, 5, and Elsie who is only 4 months old.

She told followers at the time: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children."
