Countryfile Helen Skelton’s husband unfollows her on Instagram after sad split

Countryfile’s Helen Skelton has recently announced her split from husband Richie Myer and it has been discovered that he has unfollowed Helen on Instagram.

Helen is currently looking after the couple’s three children in their family home after it is reported that he has entered a new relationship with Stephanie Thirkill, his rugby club president’s daughter.

Helen and Richie, who plays for the Leeds Rhinos rugby club, have separated after nine years.

Helen posted on social media in April and shared the news with her 295,000 followers.

She said at the time: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children."

She rounded off the heartfelt message with two broken heart emojis.

The pair have children aged six years, five years and four months old.

Skelton has also recently made her first public appearance since she shared the sad news and debuted a brand new hair colour.

She attended the Sports Industry Award in London and wore a simple white dress, which featured a cinched A-line waist and reached her ankles.

The presenter’s hourglass figure was highlighted by the flattering cut and she paired the look with black pointed toe heels, a black clutch bag and chunky gold jewellery.

Helen styled her new ashy grey hair, which featured hints of pink and purple, in loose waves as they fell over her shoulders whilst she worked the camera on the red carpet.

Richie and Stephanie were also pictured enjoying a walk together, the first time they had been pictured together since the news of his split from Helen.

The new couple insist they only started their relationship after Richie had split from Helen.

The news of their split came shortly after Helen posted a candid update to her fans about her struggles with motherhood which read: "A mama is always full of emotions. Full of love.

"Full of anxiety and worries. Full of exhaustion and lack of energy. Full of mum guilt and doubt. Full of pride in her kids. Full of pure joy.

"She feels it all, that's the beauty of her, she carries it all, too.

"And yet she gets up every day and does it all over again."
