Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer in security scare as ‘worrying’ behaviour reported

Jodie Comer was removed from a theatre show immediately as it ended after a "security scare" took place.

The BBC actress was in the building as fans reported "worrying" behaviour to security which ultimately saw Jodie, 29, escorted out of the building through a separate exit.

Fans recalled seeing a man carrying a bouquet of flowers while wearing a suit and reported that he was acting "suspiciously" and ultimately caused concern during the star's usual exit on Saturday.

The Killing Eve actress was supported out of the building to avoid the man in question, who was then reported to have attempted to enter through the stage door.

Jodie had been appearing in Prima Facie at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London where CCTV footage has been examined.

An update was shared on the theatre's Instagram page as they declared their new rules to ensure Jodie remains safe.

They confirmed that Jodie will no longer be able to meet fans outside of the venue to "protect Jodie as much as possible".

An attendee told The Sun how the man appeared to be very out of place as the venue was filled with mostly young girls.

One person said: "He was scrolling through images of Jodie on his phone. A few of the fans standing near him were worried by his behaviour, so they notified security staff.

"About 20 minutes later, the team announced that Jodie wouldn’t be coming out to meet fans, and went to close shutters over the stage door."

The fan stated that the man then tried to get under the shutters and was "visibly upset" when he couldn't.

A source added to MailOnline that following a review in the CCTV footage the individual "did not pose a threat".

Production for the stage started last week and the Harold Pinter Theatre has since shared that they would advise viewers not to take photos or videos for the safety of others.

Jodie has since been praised for her incredible performance on stage with fans hailing her "outstanding" as she made her West End debut.
