Leona’s festive celebration tour will see her performing a collection of Christmas hits from her 2013 album.

On top of the platinum-selling One More Sleep, the star will also be performing Kiss Me It’s Christmas, as well as a “beautiful reimagined” version of the Bee Gees song If I Can’t Have You.

X Factor: Leona Lewis says Real Like You 'brought the energy'

Gary Barlow is currently on a 16-date arena tour across the UK, where Leona is acting as his “very special guest”. Leona was eager to tell her fans how excited she is to go on tour next year for the Christmas event. She said: “I couldn’t be more excited to announce my UK headline tour for 2022! After such a challenging year I can’t wait to celebrate with my fans and experience that feeling of togetherness again. “It really is a dream come true to be able to create this special night – and at my favourite time of year too! I can’t wait to see everyone and make more memories!”

Leona last released a studio album in September 2015, I Am.

The record reached number 12 in the UK Album charts, and number 11 in the Scottish Album Charts.

The singer first made a name for herself with her X Factor win 15 years ago, but her first shot of fame came with her second single.

The Islington-born star released Bleeding Love on October 19, 2007.

The record debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart after selling 218,805 copies, giving her the biggest one-week sales in 2007.

After winning the talent competition, which was organised by Simon Cowell, Leona said: “I’m just shocked. It’s unbelievable.

“I feel like my dream has come true, the dream I’ve been dreaming since a little girl has come true. There were points I thought: ‘You know what, I don’t know if this is going to happen.’ But with the help from my friends and my family, they all kept telling me to believe in myself and keep on doing it and I did and now I’m here and thank you so much to them.”
