Love Island fans spot ‘feud’ between islanders as finalists celebrate show’s end

Love Island fans are adamant they've spotted a "feud" brewing between Jacques O'Neill, 23, and Jay Younger, 28, following a recent Instagram post.

Islander Jacques, who dramatically decided to exit the villa during his ITV stint, took to Instagram this week and shared a snap of some of the Island boys.

The photo showed Andrew Le Page, Davide Sanclimenti, Jay Younger, Luca Bish, Dami Hope and Jacques huddled together as they smiled for a snap.

Jacques – who called it quits after struggling with his mental health and ADHD – tagged his co-stars except for Jay, who memorably coupled up with Paige Thorne while she was with Jacques.

The rugby player also left Jay out of the caption after he called pals Andrew, Davide, Luca and Dami, his "boys".

His caption read: "For me, Dami, Davide, Andrew and Luca were my boys in the villa.

"I couldn't be happier to see them all in the final together, it's so well deserved! No matter the outcome tonight, I'm proud of you all!"

Jacques's decision to leave Jay out of the post, followed by his "shady" caption, had eagle-eyed fans convinced Jacques was hinting how he felt about the islander.

One person commented: "This is the most aggressively passive-aggressive thing I've seen in a minute."

Another penned: "Now why did Jacques use this pic if he's not gonna tag or mention Jay?"

A third said: "That's so shady, not including Jay. LMAO."

"Ooof I think that's probably it! He never got over that first interaction," wrote another.

Fans' speculation comes after Jacques and finance analyst Jay clashed early on in the series when the Scottish hunk first entered the villa.

Jay said to the lads: "I'm not here to make friends. I'm not here for seasonal boyfriends."

To which Jacques replied: "What do you do then, big boy?"

Jay told him he worked in finance and Jacques replied: "Do ya? I'm a rugby player, lad."

Leaving no room for silence, Jay struck right back, adding: "You're a bit small for a rugby player."

Jacques then assured Jay: "If you properly run at me, I'll flatten ya."
