Michael Jackson gave Lisa Marie marriage ULTIMATUM ‘Do it for me or Debbie Rowe will’

Talking about it years later, Lisa Marie insisted: “Michael wasn’t a bad person, he didn’t know any better. I took it very personally, I felt I was disposable.” Michael Jackson was so famous from such a young age, he had no concept of not getting what he wanted. Although his relationship with Lisa Marie was founded on a desperate need to be with someone who could see beyond the superstar surface, Michael ultimately could not accept her refusal to do whatever he wanted, including making one of the biggest decisions of her life. As he horrifyingly but correctly told her, there would always be someone else who would.

Lisa Marie and Michael stunned the world with a whirlwind proposal and marriage in April 1994. Before, during and after the marriage many were openly skeptical of its emotional and physical veracity, but both of them vehemently insisted they had consummated the relationship.

Elvis Presley’s daughter had left her husband, Riley Keough, and two small children – four-year-old Riley and baby Ben – to be with Michael. She was struggling with what she had done but Michael immediately began pushing for children.

Lisa Marie said: “I was trying to process what I had done. I could never feel good about it. How could I have done that to someone? And I had these two little ones…”

But Michael simply told his own wife that another woman would do it if she didn’t.

Debbie Rowe had met Michael Jackson while she was working for dermatologist Arnold Klein, who was treating the star for the skin pigmentation condition vitiligo.

Lisa Marie said that when she asked for more time before having children: “I know she (Rowe) was there the whole time telling him she would do it.

“He would tell me, ‘If you’re not gonna do it, Debbie said she’ll do it.’

“And we would get into arguments because that wasn’t how to handle it. But that’s how he knew how to handle it: ‘If you’re not going to do it, this person will. Are you going to do it or not?'”

Lisa Marie later said she had wanted to have children with Michael: “I just wanted to make sure. I was looking into the future and I was thinking, ‘I don’t ever want to get into a custody battle with him. I don’t want to do this, I don’t want to go head to head with him so I need to make surethat everything around is good.’

“I had children and I Knew bringing children into certain circumstances you have to make sure that everything is safe and secure and ok. And I wanted too make sure he and I were really, really united because we were going to be up against so much.”

Michael and Lisa Marie’s arguments escalated. She later said she had tried to get him away from “the vampires ” around him who were using the star for their own ends.

After 18 months together, Lisa Marie filed for divorce in January 1996. Her ex-husband wasted no time making his plans for children happen.

Michael announced Debbie Rowe was pregnant in October 1996, they married in November and Prince Michael was born in February 1997 (and presumably conceived around June 1996).

Years later, Lisa Marie still believes the speed of it was partly directed at her: “I knew it was a bit of a retaliatory act on his part, because I didn’t have a baby.”
