Cafe dedicated to Pugs opening for one day only – and they’ll be ‘puppuccinos’

A new pop-up cafe that's dedicated to Pugs is coming to York next month, as this one-day event draws people who love the most squishy-faced of our doggy friends.

At the cleverly named Pup Up Cafe, dogs will be able to enjoy 'puppuccinos' and have a blast with other dogs at the cafe, TeamDogs reports.

This event comes after the success of the dachshund event held in York last month, as organisers feel eager to branch out and treat other breeds of dogs.

These pop-up cafes have opened up several times since 2019, with events drawing crowds of up to 150 enthusiasts and dogs at a time.

Big Simmes, a reviewer on TripAdvisor said of the Brighton meet-up: “It was great to meet so many like-minded pug-lovers with their pugs, who all seemed to get on and enjoy it.”

The event will take place on Sunday, September 5 at Revolution York, on Coney Street, and will have props such as ball pits, tunnels and many other toys for the dogs to enjoy.

There will be best dressed competitions and a dedicated treat station, as well as dog-related trade stands full of goodies to buy. Photographers will be on hand to document the day, and capture the cutest moments.
