‘Time traveller’ warns popular tourist destination will be ‘destroyed by meteor’

A TikTok user who claims to be a 'time traveller' has warned that a popular European tourist destination will be destroyed by a meteor in 2023.

The creator, known as @timevoyaging, took to the app to give a warning about the fate of the Netherlands in a new series of clips that aim to tell the future of individual countries.

In the warning, which has gained more than 28,200 likes, they claimed that there were two major events to come in the country in 2023 – including the destruction of Amsterdam.

They wrote: "Attention! Yes, I am a real time traveller, these are two major events to come in the Netherlands.

"January 4, 2023: A bunker is discovered that has secrets from ancient civilisations.

"April 28, 2023: Amsterdam is hit by a meteor, with it destroying most of the city."

Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, is known for its artistic heritage and canals – while also having a famous red light district and wild nightlife, and coffee shops that sell cannabis edibles.

Naturally, the warning didn't go down well on TikTok as people flocked to the comments, devastated over the claims.

One user said: "No please not my favourite shops."

Another added: "Watch him be right."

A third commented: "Man it’s kinda crazy to know that ancient civilizations knew how to build very protective bunkers."

However, not everyone believed the alleged time traveller as they felt the TikToker was trying to deceive them.

One user said: "Bro thinks we were all born yesterday."

Another wrote: "If it's true, won't your predictions alter the timeline?"

"I live in the Netherlands, we will see mate," a third added.

The news comes after a self-proclaimed time traveller from 2236 has claimed that scientists will bring back the massive but extinct megalodon shark next year.

The unknown TikToker, who shares warnings from the future on the @realtiktoktimetraveller account, also warned that a meteor will smash into Earth in 2034.

But not before we discover signs of alien life in 2025.
