The 37-year-old from Arizona, US is currently in a polyamorous age-gap relationship with five lovers – legally married to one of them, a 71-year-old retired marine she met over a decade ago.

Jessica has become a TV personality in the States after making her debut on the TV show ‘Freak Show’ in 2012.

But despite embracing stardom, she wasn’t always so confident. Jessica revealed she struggled in her youth due to bullying and an abusive relationship.

Jessica has PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) and fibromyalgia (an autoimmune disease).

Her prominent facial hair is linked to her PCOS and other health issues, and due to the conditions, and botched correcting surgeries she now has a permanent limp.

She explained: “I've always had health issues, but they're only just now finding they were all related.

"I've had problems with my back and legs and of course the bloating and soreness. There are days when I don't want to get out of bed due to the fog of fibromyalgia and depression.

"My hirsutism is linked to PCOS. Some women don't get this problem of hirsutism until after their first child."

She has not always been as embracive of her beard as she is now. There were times when she had to resort to regular shaving because of societal pressures.

"I shaved and plucked my hair and my former partner even tried burning my face to burn off the hair," Jessica said.

"There are still scars under my beard from that.

"I used to keep my beard hidden and I was constantly in the shadow of my siblings. I was often pushed into a foster home and it became increasingly obvious how different I was from those around me.

"It led me into a life of being passed around by servitude of abuse of extreme domestic violence.

"I was even forced into marriage twice in an attempt to pass off the problem, thinking if I got pregnant soon enough it would simply stop."

"I've had broken glass thrown at me by drunk tourists when I was working at Fremont Street in Las Vegas.

"Now I have a wonderful open marriage with a small group of the best people.
