Manchester City stars hit the pool as they continued their preparations for the new season in Tokyo, Japan.

Pep Guardiola’s side kicked-off their pre-season tour on Saturday with a 5-3 win against Yokohama F. Marinos.

And before their next fixture, the players have been making the most of their surroundings by resting and recovering in the pool.

City stars Jack Grealish, Nathan Ake, John Stones and new signing Mateo Kovacic were among those pictured looking relaxed and focused, as they prepare to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

The quartet showed off their impressive physiques in the shots, as Guardiola’s men gear up for the Premier League title defence following last season’s Treble-winning heroics.

Manchester City have so far only added Mateo Kovacic to their squad in the summer window

Saturday’s win saw City come from 2-0 down to beat the Japanese champions, with Stones converting from just inside the box before Julian Alvarez drew them level.

City made ten changes at the break and it was Erling Haaland who added two further goals either side of a Rodri strike, to see the Premier League champions run out comfortable winners in the end.

The game saw a first run out in a City shirt for £25m new boy Kovacic, while Joao Cancelo made his first appearance for the club since his falling-out with Guardiola in January.

Kyle Walker captained the side despite his future at the club still unclear.

The England defender is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich and the two clubs are set to discuss a deal in the coming days that could see Walker seal a £13m move to the German giants.

City play Munich on Wednesday in an 11.30am kick-off UK time at the Japan National Stadium, before travelling to Seoul, South Korea, to play Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
