The Undertaker removes WWE from all social media sparking fears legend has quit

The 53-year-old, real name Mark Calaway, is regarded as one of the best to set foot in the ring after his near-30 year reign of terror.

But the icon has caused a storm online after fans noticed he had replaced WWE on his bio with a web address to make personal appearance bookings.

That follows on from recent reports Vince McMahon currently has no plans for ‘Taker to appear at WrestleMania 35 in April.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer also says it is surprising to see The Phenom promoting his gimmick outside of WWE.

Undertaker was widely-believed to have retired at ‘Mania in 2017 following a crushing defeat to Roman Reigns.

But he returned at last year’s Showcase of the Immortals to overcome John Cena before going on to make several further appearances, his last coming at WWE’s Crown Jewel in November.

The veteran, who is embarking on a UK tour later this year with shows in London, Glasgow and Manchester, has previously spoken of his fears over continuing to wrestle too long and risk becoming a parody of himself.

He said: “They say fighters can grow old in one fight, so hopefully this isn't that fight.

“Dealing with the numerous injuries that I work around, I'm not prepared physically as well as I could.

That's kind of the big issue, just making sure there's always enough gas in the tank.”

The former WWE champion, who debuted in WWE way back in 1990, added: “One of my biggest fears is kind of becoming a parody of myself.

“They happen to buy a ticket to see Undertaker wrestle, they should get the best Undertaker I can give them.

“You always wonder when you walk into the dressing room, ‘oh, here comes the old guy again’. Yeah, just an old guy who's not afraid to put a size 15 [shoe] up your ass if you get out of line.”
