13 Reasons Why stars strip off for gym session as season 3 begins filming

Some of the cast members of 13 Reasons Why have been pumping up their bodies in preparation for season three of the hit Netflix series.

Taking to Instagram, Ross Butler, who plays Zach, shared an image of himself, Brandon Flynn (Justin Foley) and Timothy Granaderos (Montgomery) flexing to the point of a potential strain during a gym session.

In an act of what can only be described as raw masculinity, Butler called out the other male actors on the show who weren’t present during the workout, writing: “First workout of the season with the #13ReasonsWhy GANG. Expect more of these. WHERE YA AT: @justin.prentice @[email protected] @alishaboe @[email protected] @annewinters”

Michele Selene Ang also shared an image during her first day of filming the third season, writing: “First day filming for #13ReasonsWhy is in the bag! Very happy to be here. Who is excited for season 3?”

A third season of 13 Reasons Why was announced back in June with a teaser trailer, and Netflix has since defended the decision to renew the show.

The series has always proven controversial among certain groups, but the second season in particular was met with a lot of criticism and even a cancellation campaign from moral values group Parents Television Council, following its depiction of sexual assault and school violence.

We don’t yet have a release date for the third season, but the teaser confirmed that it’ll be hitting Netflix some time in 2019 – we reckon May at the earliest. The first and second seasons are currently available on the streaming service.
