Alex Jones left wearing just a bra after suffering wardrobe blunder at work

Alex Jones has revealed that she experienced an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction when she was younger, when she turned up for work wearing just a bra as she "forgot to wear a t-shirt".

The Swansea host of the BBC One magazine show The One Show, has said that her most "embarrassing" moment on TV was a shocking wardrobe malfunction that left the star bra-clad and without a top.

In her early days Alex worked as a researcher behind-the-scenes in the media industry, the now 44 year old revealed what happened when she turned up for work wearing only a bra.

During a recent Q&A, Alex revealed all to the Guardian.

“At one of my first jobs as a researcher in TV, I pulled my coat off and I was just in my bra."

“I had forgotten to put on a T-shirt," she added.

Alex previously told the story on Comic Relief in 2011.

She admitted: “My most embarrassing moment is leaving the house one morning.

The presenter has recently gone on maternity leave to have her third child – a baby girl.

Last week, the stunning host took to Instagram to say her farewell: "And just like that it's time to say goodbye to the show temporarily and get ready to welcome our little girl.

She captioned the post: "Thank you to everyone who sent their best wishes tonight."

“You'll know that I'm prone to a good cry on the show at the best of times but seeing those messages at the end, especially from mum and dad and Charlie really set me off.

"Thanks to our viewers for helping keep me sane during this last year and a half and for the warm welcome every night.

"I'll miss being on that sofa at 7 and of course, the brilliant team who work so hard behind the scenes."

Viewers and fans flocked to the comments section to gush over the star.

One fan said: "Sending lots of love and well wishes for the arrival of your little girl!"

While another penned: "Alex all the best from a Swansea Girl. Looking forward to your return."
