Alison Hammond has broken her silence on reports of a strained relationship with This Morning co-star Dermot O'Leary, appearing to laugh off the rumours.

The TV presenters usually host ITV's daytime show together on Fridays, but are currently covering for Holly Willoughby who has already begun her summer break.

Fans of the show know that Alison and Dermot love to have a dance together on set and Alison has shared some Instagram clips of their dance routines that lead to people mocking the rumours they don't get on.

One video showed the pair dancing to Mariah Carey's Touch My Body and a fan commented on how much fun they were clearly having.

The fan wrote: "Wow the tension between you two is palpable," as Alison replied with a laughing emoji.

Other fans commented to say how much they love watching Alison and Dermot.

One person wrote: "I wish it was you two all week. I cannot tell you how much I love your chemistry and banter."

Someone else added: "This is exactly what itv needs. This pair. So gorgeous together."

Alison also posted another fun video early on Thursday morning teasing what was to come in This Morning and showing her and Dermot dancing and singing Ronan Keating's Life Is A Rollercoaster to each other.

A fan commented: "Yeah looks like you have a really turbulent friendship!!!! love you two cannot wait for today!"

Others said they wanted to see the pair present every day as one person wrote: "Needs to be you guys full time!"

Someone else agreed: "Love you two!! Give them the full time job please!"

Another person commented: "I LOVE you two, funny, kind and I agree you need to be full time! You are the best."

One fan told them: "You are my favourite presenters you guys rock."

Someone else added: "Good friends having a bit of fun. What more could we want as I said before ‘a breath of fresh air’."

Other rumours about the changing presenter line-up at This Morning since Phillip Schofield's exit have included claims that Alison and Holly aren't as close any more, and suggestions Alison could take over as Phil's replacement have made things more tense between her and Dermot.

But an ITV spokesperson rubbished the claims, calling them "absolute nonsense" and insisting there was "no tension" between the two stars but that they were actually good friends.
