A number of eagle-eyed viewers took to Twitter explaining that designers Russell Whitehead and Jordan Cluroe would match their clothing to the chosen paint.

On today's episode, Russell and Jordan were in Leeds helping to transform cat-lover Amanda's living room.

While discussing their plans to transform Amanda's home into a "beige" palace with a hint of "Kardashian" glam, fans pointed out their coordinated outfits.

One tweet read: "Course it was going to be beige, they are wearing beige, pathetic. Blue and pink first week, stripes last week. #changingrooms."

Another penned: "#changingrooms @Channel4 dress to match the room colour perfect camouflage."

While a third added: "Could have guessed they were going to use beige – their outfits say it all, #changingrooms."

Meanwhile Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen was busy transforming neighbour Pauline's home into a purple art deco inspired lounge.

He explained on the programme that he was bringing back an iconic design he'd actually created on the show 23 years ago.

Delving into his decorating archives to revisit a paint effect he invented over two decades ago.

As part of the makeover of Pauline's living room in Leeds, his famous panelling effect, using different shades of blue to create wall panels that trick the eye.

Host Anna Richardson stepped in to see if the owners "actually liked" their newly revamped pads.

One particular "swoosh mark" divided fans on Twitter and seemingly the cast too.

Checking that Amanda liked the prominent brown paint, Anna asked: "Do you like the swirl?"

Crying happy tears, she responded: "Yeah, it's amazing I can't take it all in."

Later, they ventured to Pauline's home to test if she was happy with the vibrant blue and purple colours.

A stunned Pauline said: "It's amazing, I love it… I can't believe it… It’s like an art-deco palace.

"He's [Laurence] really captured who I am… He's a genius, isn't he? I love him!

Meeting Pauline, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen said: "Everything here is just about paint, there's nothing on the wall, there's no MDF, there's no woodwork.

"It's what anyone can do in a rental and I love that."
