Coronation Street’s Toyah (played by Georgia Taylor) is set to put her foot in it in the cafe when she is overheard telling sister Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) about how difficult it has been living with Imran (Charlie de Melo).
Imran will overhear every word and storm out leaving the pair’s relationship hanging in the balance.
However, Leanne is set to offer Toyah a room in her and Nick’s (Ben Price) flat, not long after he and Imran moved out.
She was forced to move out when she and Imran accused Nick of stealing and hiding the health and safety report for the factory roof collapse under his bed.
However, after her bust-up with Imran she will admit she only accused Nick of hiding something to support boyfriend Imran.
This incenses Nick who will tell her in no uncertain terms he does not trust her.
He will have every reason to be suspicious as Toyah’s next stop is notorious loanshark Rick’s (Greg Wood) office in order to get any information on Nick’s finances.
Her efforts are futile but will the increasing pressure placed on Nick force him to leave Weatherfield and leave Leanne brokenhearted once again.
It would not be the first time he has abandoned her when the heat gets too much and he could be set to run away again.
The police have been getting closer and closer with their investigations into the factory collapse and Nick’s finances.
After he scammed his grandma Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) out of £80K, he invested the money into brother David Platt’s (Jack P Shepherd) barbers dream.
Trim up North became a reality and everything seemed to be going smoothly until Nick needed more money.
The barbers’ opening coincided with the Underworld roof collapse and things have started to spiral out of control for the once Golden Boy Nick.
Imran believes he has something to do with the roof collapse and David has also suggested he tampered with the roof to get a payout from the insurance.
The pressure has also been ramped up by the arrival of Nick’s partner in crime Natalie Watkins (Cassie Bradley), who helped him scam Audrey.
David gave her a job at the barbers in order to attempt to silence her and buy her off.
However, Natalie ends up kissing David in scenes that are set to rock David’s partner Shona Ramsey’s (Julia Goulding) world.
The couple could be about to split over the kiss and it could also have huge ramifications for Nick if a scorned Natalie chooses to blackmail him or tell the police everything.
With Underworld partner Carla Connor (Alison King) returning to the Street to face reality, could Nick it as a distraction to slip away from the cobbles?
Carla returns to Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) house to reveal the full extent of her mental state.
Coronation Street continues tomorrow on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
