The 30-year-old actor, who plays David Platt, sent his "love" to the ex-cobbles actress, who played Kylie Platt, in a video shown on Lorraine earlier today.
Holding a dog in his arms by a lake in Scotland, Jack could be seen talking to the camera in the pre-recorded clip.
The star said: "Hi Paula, I'm on the west coast of Scotland at the minute and I heard you were doing Kinky Boots.
"I wanted to say good luck.
"Sending all my love. I miss you loads."
Back in the Lorraine studio Paula, 32, could be seen looking delighted by his kind words.
She last starred in the soap with Jack in 2016 when she was stabbed by Clayton Hibbs and died in his Jack's character David's arms.
Of Kylie's death, she said: "It is emotional to watch and I still hold it close to my heart.
"I get the tissues out every time I see clips of it.”
Rochelle Humes, who was hosting Lorraine today, asked Paula if it had been difficult to leave the cobbles, to which she replied: "That’s it, and the cast, we were a proper family unit… I felt like I had lost my family for a little bit.”
She added: "When I left, I actually had to say to my husband, ‘I’m just going go upstairs to have a little weep and I’ll be back down as Paula in a minute, OK?’ And he was fine with it.”
The Saturdays singer also asked why Paula, who is about to star in musical Kinky Boots, had decided to leave the show.
She explained: "I think it was a natural progression for me. I had played her for six years… I wanted to try other things.”
Paula made her Corrie debut in 2010.
At the time of her dramatic exit in 2016, Paula was pregnant with her second child, Penny Grace, and it was initially expected that she would only be written out temporarily for maternity leave.
