Coronation Street fans were left stunned on Monday evening as they discovered where they had seen the Deputy Head of Weatherfield High before.
David Platt and Daniel Osbourne had both been hauled in front of the teacher over a complaint about David's son Max, after Daniel accused the youngster of nicking his wallet, and tugged at him by his bag straps.
But despite Daniel being chastised for his own behaviour and David storming out in a huff, fans were more distracted by the actress stepping up to the role of Deputy Head.
The star in question turned out to be Carla Mendonça – who rose to fame in children's TV shows like My Parents Are Aliens.
She starred as mum Sophie Johnson in the CITV kids show, as well as taking on the role of Mrs Fitzgerald in So Awkward.
A horde of stunned fans turned to Twitter, with one posting: "OMG it's her, Max's headteacher is from So Awkward and My Parents Are Aliens LOL I can't believe it, I literally grew up with her! @ITVCorrie."
Someone else echoed: "The mum from My Parents Are Aliens is now the Senior Teacher in @ITVcorrie on @ITV!"
Another social media user quickly quipped: "I thought she'd gone back to Valux! #Corrie," in reference to the eponymous aliens' home planet.
"When you're watching Corrie with your mother and shout my parents are aliens out loud! I knew I'd seen that actress somewhere! She played Sophie!" someone else couldn't resist tweeting.
As another echoed: "The mum from My Parents Are Aliens is on Corrie. A blast from the past!"
